This is a traditional silhouette shirt with a slim fit, button closure, and—most importantly—T-shirt-like material. This makes the shirt far more practical and better performing for daily wear due to the material itself. Special attention was given to the collar—it is reinforced and holds its shape well. The cuffs are secured with two buttons and fit snugly around the wrist. The central button closure matches the tone of the fabric. The rounded hem allows the shirt to be worn tucked in or untucked.
About Tencel:
Tencel is a natural material made from Australian eucalyptus wood through a nanoprocessing technique. First, the eucalyptus wood is turned into a uniform cellulose pulp. Then, the fibers are formed by pressing the pulp through acidic filters. The acid solution is fully reused, waste is not discharged into the environment, and production follows a closed-loop system. The final step is drying.
Advantages of Tencel fibers:
-
Eco-friendliness: Cellulose fibers are biodegradable, free from pesticides, and environmentally safe.
-
Moisture absorption: Tencel has excellent hygroscopic properties, absorbing moisture over twice as effectively as cotton and quickly wicking it away.
-
Durability: Tencel is the strongest fabric made from wood fibers, equally strong when dry or wet. Wet, it is three times more tear-resistant than viscose.
-
Antibacterial properties: Eucalyptus naturally contains phytoncides that prevent microbial growth and provide antimicrobial benefits.
-
Breathability: The material “breathes” well, allowing excellent air circulation.
-
Tactile feel: Silky, smooth, thin, and soft to the touch with a slightly velvety surface. Gentle on skin and extremely comfortable.
-
Low wrinkling: Despite being thin and soft, it resists creasing and rarely requires ironing—just dry it flat after washing.
Fabric composition reasoning:
Our final fabric mix of 50% Tencel, 45% cotton, and 5% elastane was carefully chosen:
-
Cotton reduces cost and adds density (our densest fabric in the line at 220 g/m²).
-
Elastane provides durability, stretch, and resilience to counter cotton’s natural shortcomings.
The result is a dense, silky-feeling, wear-resistant, antibacterial, practical, breathable, eco-friendly fabric—offering premium quality at a fair price.
